Buy Cheap, Buy Twice
People often call for prices en route to finding the cheapest possible repair cost – usually for phones.
What amazes me is that they have spent a small fortune on a phone and then, when they’ve smashed it, want to pay as little as possible to get it repaired. Well, the sad news is that it’s not a good policy.
If you want to get a shoddy job done then by all means find the cheapest price, but if you want the job done properly…
Just look at the photos below to see what can happen when you get a cheap job done.
This is the worst by far that I’ve seen, but it’s not uncommon.
And this phone is dead due to some moron wrecking the port that connects the ear speaker, ambient light sensor and front camera. When the charlatan took the money for replacing the screen he said that there was a problem with the camera that he couldn’t fix! He didn’t mention that the speaker didn’t work… I doubt that he even knew what the light sensor was!
And what about the 3 backplates and the 12 screws that were missing as well?! So disgustingly dishonest!
The picture on the left was as it came out of the iPhone 5, the one on the right is as it should have looked! How can you miss the big backplate?! Absolutely amazing that anyone could be so inept.
Oh, and the final insult? When the customer went back to him with the other problems, he claimed that someone else had been in the phone after him and they must have damaged it!
