Rule number 1!

Okay, so you want to update to the latest iOS for your iPhone, iPad or iPod and the first thing it tells you is that you don’t have enough space… so you go to Settings >> Usage and see what you can throw out and then you panic as you’re going to have to clear out a whole load of things that you want to keep!

Well, here’s my Rule Number 1: NEVER DO BIG UPDATES OVER THE AIR!

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS update through iTunes or Finder, depending on the OS you’re running!

That way you’ll NEVER have to clear out a load of things to make space, unless you are really right up against your limit.

When updating through iTunes/Finder you download it to your computer, NOT your iPhone or iPad and when it’s done it overwrites the existing iOS so you don’t need to slash your games/music/messages etc.

SIMPLES!

And Rule Number 2? There isn’t one.
